Non destructive electrical tests
Aim:
The nondestructive electrical tests allow to verify the safety of insulation of motors windings to evaluate the condition and, should it be the case, to plan specific operations to restore the equipment.
Usually the nondestructive  tests on rotating  power  equipments are:
- Test of the insulation resistanc
- Tests of pulse voltage–surge test-
- Measure of polarization index
- Measure of the static statoric and rotoric impedance
- Partial discharges tests
Applicability:
The nondestructive electrical tests are possible on every rotating electrical equipments r synchronous or asynchronous and on transformers.
Detectable anomalies:
Through the analysis of the results of the non-destructive electrical tests to mass and to coil loss of insulation, can be found.
